Visualizing the argument structure of a social science research paper

The purpose of the visualization is to explore how the various argument/rhetorical statements in a research paper contributes information towards constructing causal knowledge.

The initial display lists the main argument/rhetorical statements as nodes in presentation order.

Double-click on an argument/rhetorical node to display cause-effect terms expressed in the statement.

Double-click on any term node to link it with concepts in a taxonomy.

Single-click on a node displays text information on the right text panel.

Right-click on a node to lock a node in position; click on a node to unlock its position before dragging it to a new position.
